EAT
According to the Chinese Zodiac, 2015 is the Year of the Sheep. Although there are no farms on which to spot sheep in DC, there are plenty of acclaimed farm-to-table restaurants. Founding Farmers in Georgetown sports a communal atmosphere with an incredibly sustainable menu full of seasonal ingredients, like the winter-tested chicken pot pie or the veggie-friendly mushroom meunière and risotto.

DO
Walk to the nearby Freer Sackler Gallery Smithsonian’s hubs for fantastic Asian art. Among the two galleries (connected by underground passageway), you’ll find ancient jades and bronzes from Chinese Neolithic civilizations and a Buddhist cave temple painting dating back to the sixth century.

EAT
Snag a table at downtown pan-Asian favorite Zentan for some fire dragon rolls and Hakushika sake.

STAY
Check into the chic Asian-inspired Topaz Hotel and take advantage of their “Give Yourself Some Credit” package, which grants an affordable rate along with a $25 credit towards your choice of restaurant dining, in-room dining or in-room spa services.
