If you’re giving mom and dad a break from the kids (or stealing some precious moments with your little angels), hop on board a Big Bus sightseeing tour. The kids will love riding the open-top bus past DC’s most famous landmarks; you’ll love resting your feet. The lower deck of the bus is heated for cooler days.
From there, ride down to the National Mall. The National Museum of Natural History wins raves from grandmas and grandkids alike for displays like the stunning (and supposedly cursed!) Hope Diamond and 11,000 year-old artifacts from Cypress in the Crossroads of Civilizations exhibit.
Call it a night at the Embassy Suites Washington, DC Convention Center, known for its spacious two-bedroom suites and lavish complimentary breakfast buffet.
