Restaurant Week Returns
Washington, DC’s bi-annual tradition, Restaurant Week, will run from January 12 through 18 this winter. Scheduled during another Washington, DC tradition, Holiday Homecoming, Restaurant Week gives foodies a chance to dine at some of the area’s hottest restaurants at reduced prices. Three-course lunches are offered for just $20.04. Or enjoy a three-course dinner for $30.04. And right on the heels of the New Year, Restaurant Week gives cuisine-lovers a chance to break their New Year’s Resolutions. The promotion has been so popular in the past it has increased sales from 15% to an astounding 200% at lunch and dinner.

Cafe Saint-Ex: New to the U Street area, Café Saint-Ex is designed with an aviation theme. Visit for a relaxing weekend brunch, after-work dinner, or dance to the hottest area DJs at Gate 54, Saint-Ex’s bar and lounge.

Ceiba: From the owners of the critically-acclaimed DC Coast and TenPenh, Ceiba features a Latin-inspired menu and décor. Features dishes from Brazil, the Caribbean, Cuba and Latin America.

Dupont Grille: Located on the first floor of the Jury’s Washington Hotel, the Dupont Grille recently completed a $1 million makeover. In addition to a new look, it now boasts Emeril Lagasse protégé, chef Cornell Coulon. The menu takes its influence from Asian, French and Spanish dishes.

Logan Tavern: Located in the bustling Logan Circle neighborhood, Logan Tavern combines the atmosphere of a neighborhood watering hole with the style of a Friday night date spot. From the owners of Grillfish.

LoveCafe: Lawyer turned baker Warren Brown has expanded his popular CakeLove Bakery with a café for sweets-lovers to relax and enjoy a treat. His signature cupcakes, Buzz Balls, Crunchy Feet and Venus Bars are all available, in addition to an assortment of beverages.

The Mandarin Oriental: When Washington, DC welcomes the Mandarin Oriental resort, it will welcome back a familiar chef to the hotel's restaurant. Hidemasa Yamamoto, formerly of the Jockey Club, will serve his Asian-accented modern American seafood dishes in this posh dining venue.

Mie N Yu:
Described as a “Feast for the Senses,” by Executive Chef Tim Elliott, both the food and décor will transport you. The menu is inspired by many cultures, including the Far East and the Mediterranean. You may find yourself dining on a daybed surrounded by lanterns or in a dining “nook” of surrounded by dripping silk fabrics. Be sure and checkout the bathroom as well.

Palette: Adjacent to the newly reopened Madison Hotel, Palette is set to open this January. The restaurant seeks to combine a delicious dining experience while also creating a feast for the eyes. Palette will feature rotating exhibits from modern art collections.
