Night guard turned-inventor and entrepreneur Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) thought his days of watching over historical treasures were behind him. But when his noteworthy friends at the Natural History Museum in New York are suddenly shipped to the Smithsonian in Washington, DC, Larry finds himself once again racing against the sun to save them in “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.”

With the help of spunky Amelia Earhart (Amy Adams), Larry does battle with the evil pharaoh, Kah Mun Rah (Hank Azaria) and his band of bumbling bad guys. At stake: an ancient Egyptian tablet that will unlock the Underworld and turn Kah Mun Rah into an all-powerful ruler.

Larry has just one night to save his friends – and the world – from the evil pharaoh. In a battle that takes him to some of DC’s most popular museums, monuments and memorials, Larry unwittingly goes on the DC adventure of a lifetime.

In “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian,” history literally comes to life. From Al Capone to General Custer to one very large Abraham Lincoln, a comical cast of characters step out of history books and onto the big screen as they take over DC for the night.

Now it’s your turn. Follow in Larry’s footsteps and watch history happen right here in the nation’s capital. See the sites that play a starring role in the movie and spot the characters that come to life when you take the Tour.

The nighttime fun isn’t only at the museums. Just like Larry, you can run around (or bike or ride or walk) around the National Mall and see DC when it’s all lit up at night. For more nighttime fun, catch a concert, see a performance or watch a sports team in action.
