DC Circulator Bus

With a name like an action hero’s, DC’s sleek red and silver Circulator buses provide visitors and residents with quick, direct access to some of the most popular points of the city. The Circulator connects downtown DC, Georgetown, Union Station, the Washington Convention Center, the Southwest Waterfront and nearby neighborhoods. In April 2009, Circulator launched two new routes servicing the U Street neighborhood, Columbia Heights, Adams Morgan, U.S. Capitol and Washington Nationals stadium. The cost to ride is just $1, and the system also accepts Metro’s SmarTrip cards and transfers. The Circulator line includes 43 efficient buses - low to the ground with three separate doors for rapid transfer. To make travel even easier, tickets may be purchased in advance or before boarding buses, which arrive every 10 minutes. dccirculator.com
