Destination DC, WCCA Cater to Planners with New Packaging Options

Planning a meeting or event in DC just got easier, thanks to new packaging options developed by Destination DC and the Washington Convention Center Authority.

Connecticut Avenue Collection

Destination DC has partnered with the Hilton Washington, Marriott Wardman Park Hotel and the Omni Shoreham Hotel to promote the Connecticut Avenue Collection, a new way of packaging three of DC's leading convention hotels into one meeting solution. The joint venture is designed to appeal to planners that want the intimate setting, personalized service and inclusive price structure of a first-class hotel but need the space of a larger convention facility.

Packaged together, these three properties offer more than 3,600 guest rooms, some 200,000 square feet of meeting space, 124 meeting rooms, 180,000 square feet of exhibit space and 8 on-site restaurants.

"We're promoting the Connecticut Avenue Collection to planners that would like to meet in a hotel but need the space of a larger convention facility," said Elliot Ferguson, senior VP, sales and services, Destination DC. "This joint marketing concept shows that there's a lot of flexibility in the meeting options that are available to planners here in DC."

Walter E. Washington Convention Center: Distinctive Meetings Package

The Walter E. Washington Convention Center has introduced a new Distinctive Meetings Package, offering one-stop shopping for value-minded planners looking for space for 50-200 guests. The all-inclusive package is priced per person and includes meeting space and services, catering, audio visual services and insurance, with optional upgrades and custom solutions available.
