Transportation Solutions

We know that transportation solutions are important to you. That’s why they’re important to us. We’re here to help you plug into local resources to create transportation solutions that work. The right approach can save you money – and can even reduce your carbon footprint.

Get around: DC’s public transportation makes it easy for your delegates to travel to and from your meeting location. Our convention center even features its own Metro stop, making for easy rail connections to hotels and transportation hubs like Reagan National Airport and Union Station. Our newest public transit solution, the DC Circulator connects hotel clusters to the convention center, taking riders from Georgetown to Union Station and the Shaw neighborhood to the Southwest Waterfront for just $1 per ride.

Powerful Partnerships. We’ve worked with our hotel partners to group properties into geographic clusters that streamline your shuttle requirements. From Massachusetts Avenue to Capitol Hill and from M Street to Georgetown, you’ll discover dozens of hotels within blocks of each other, making for fewer shuttle routes – and lower transportation costs. Destination DC can also point you to local transportation companies that can also save you money. DC-based drivers know the ins and outs of navigating the city, and they have experience servicing convention center shuttle routes.

Staying Green. By working with Destination DC on your transportation needs, you’re doing more than reducing your transportation cost. You’re also reducing your carbon footprint. With dozens of centrally-located hotels, your delegates can see for themselves why DC was recently named the most walkable city in the US by the Brookings Institution. Or, lean on DC’s established public transportation systems, which use compressed natural gas and hybrid electric systems to keep the city green.
