Destination DC’s comprehensive housing package is designed to make it easier for you to manage, track and report on your pick up. Work with Destination DC to build your package using Passkey, one of the most recognized names in the housing industry.

How does this benefit attendees?

• Reservations can be made via the Internet, fax, mail or a toll-free reservation number
• Provides an opportunity to experience a virtual tour of the property via the Internet
• Written acknowledgement of all reservations, modifications or cancellations via e-mail, fax, or mail

How does the meeting planner benefit?

• Dedicated staff assists the meeting planner throughout the housing process
• Opportunity to monitor room block pick-up via the Internet 24-hours a day
• Ability to link to your registration company

What does the Destination DC staff provide?

• Assists with the production of a housing form and customized hotel map with the proximity of the hotels participating in the room block
• Manage and monitor hotel inventories to maximize room block
• Manage VIPs and sub-blocks
• Set up an on-site housing desk in Washington, DC
• Process reservations after the reservation cut-off date
• Provide final housing reports to the meeting planner and next host city

To assist meeting planners in capturing last minute hotel reservations that are often made after their contracted room blocks are sold out or released back into general hotel inventory, Destination DC has partnered with aRes Travel (Advanced Reservations Systems). aRes Travel is geared specifically toward assisting with last minute requests for reservations and tracks all post cut-off hotel reservations giving the meeting planner a full picture of the total pickup of the group. Most importantly, there is no cost to the meeting planner or attendees for this service. This is an optional service if the group/third party planner does not wish to add overflow hotels.
