DISCOVER DC WITH TOURS & PACKAGES INPSIRED BY "NATIONAL TREASURE: BOOK OF SECRETS"

This holiday season, Nicolas Cage returns to the big screen as treasure hunter and historian Benjamin Franklin Gates in Disney's "National Treasure: Book of Secrets," the sequel to the action-packed 2004 blockbuster in which DC once again plays a starring role. In "National Treasure: Book of Secrets," Gates must go on a quest to clear his family name when a secret from the past is uncovered. The journey begins in DC, then takes Gates and his father, Patrick Gates (Jon Voigt), along with and Abigail Chase (Diane Kruger) and Riley Poole (Justin Bartha) to Paris, London and South Dakota as they unlock a series of clues to solve a historical mystery. Treasure-hunting travelers and movie buffs can tour the sites featured in the film and unravel the mysteries of their own with a special tour created by the Washington, DC Convention & Tourism Corporation. Stay tuned to Washington.org to view a video podcast, download a tour brochure packed with sites featured in the movie, or plan your own treasure-packed getaway with a "National Treasure"-inspired hotel package. At the Fairmont Washington, D.C. Hotel, a weekend package comes with two Tourmobile sightseeing passes and a diary in which guests can write down their own secrets, starting at $259 per night.
