Destination DC Introduces "Show Your Badge" VIP Experiences, Savings
WHAT: Today Destination DC, the official convention and tourism corporation for Washington, DC introduces a new program connecting convention attendees at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center with VIP experiences and exclusive discounts. “Show Your Badge” will engage an audience of more than 320,000 convention attendees expected in Washington, DC through Dec 31, 2012 with participating attractions, tours, theaters, shops and restaurants.
For the remainder of 2012, all registered convention attendees who present their convention badge at any of the 35 participating “Show Your Badge” businesses will be qualified to redeem a special, pre-determined offer. Opportunities range from prix-fixe meals at fine restaurants including Kellari Taverna and Tony and Joe’s Seafood Place to buy one, get one free admission to The Presidents Gallery at Madame Tussauds Washington D.C. Offers can be updated or amended at any time.
“Show Your Badge” will be promoted to convention attendees at the concierge desk at Walter E. Washington Convention Center, on both the attending convention’s website and on Washington.org/showyourbadge, and in select citywide convention notices from Destination DC. The 15,000 expected attendees at the NASFT 2012 Summer Fancy Food Show, to be held in DC, June 17-19, will be the first to access these unique savings.
