
The Washington, DC Convention & Tourism Corporation (WCTC) is the lead destination marketing organization for the city of Washington, DC. Among its chief responsibilities are to market Washington, DC as a premier global meetings, tourism and special events destination, increase positive awareness and demand of Washington, DC, and increase visitation overall.
WCTC generates economic benefits to the citizens of the District of Columbia, the convention and tourism industry, stakeholders and the Washington Convention Center Authority, with a special emphasis on the arts, cultural and historical communities.
WCTC is a non-profit entity funded via the Washington, DC city hotel tax and partnership revenue from more than 1,100 businesses.
The Brand Marketing Taskforce
WCTC is proud to coordinate this project with the support of the Brand Marketing Taskforce, representing key economic development agencies, the hospitality industry and cultural entities. The Taskforce will act as a steering committee throughout the process, providing overall guidance for the direction of the project and aiding in the implementation of the study findings.
