KidzQuest offers workshops for children and their families that educate while they entertain.

The Greater Washington Region is home to many talented children.  Don’t miss performances by some of the area’s most talented young dancers, singers, and instrumentalists on the Youth Talent Showcase Stage. This year’s performers will include the Fillmore Jazz Band, Barnet William's World of Drumming, Halua O'Aulani Hawaiian Dancers, the Maple School Irish Step Dancers, and the Frederick Douglass Oratorical Contest Winners.  Additional performers and a complete stage schedule will be posted soon.

Art Pavilion

Programming in the Art Pavilion will be led by VSA Arts, an international nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the creative power in people with disabilities.  VSA Arts will lead specific craft activities throughout each day.  In addition, they will encourage all children to contribute to a large group art project that will be exhibited in the VSA Arts gallery over the course of the next year. In addition, the International Child Art Foundation and the Fillmore Arts Center will lead craft activities and demonstrations.

Family Dance Pavilion

The whole family is invited to stop by the Family Dance Pavilion for instruction in the steps for the latest dance crazes.  Activities will include demonstrations from the African Dance Workshop with the Kono Youth Ensemble, a Hawaiian Dance Workshop with the Haula O Aulani Dancers, an Irish step dance Workshop with the Maple School Dancers, a Hip Hop workshop with the World Art Focus, a Limbo Dance Party, and a Hand Dance Workshop with the National Hand Dance Association.  The complete schedule of activities will be available on this site soon.

KidzQuest Science Pavilion

Once again the American Geological Institute will bring activities and exhibits tied to Earth Science Week to the KidzQuest Science Pavilion. Focusing on one of Earth’s most important natural resources, this year’s theme is “Water is All Around You.”

Fitness Pavilion

Area youth will show you how to get fit while having a blast in the Fitness Pavilion. The workshops will include demonstrations in tae kwon do, cheerleading, double dutch, family aerobics, basketball, soccer, and other fitness crazes. Representatives from the Junior Olympics will join in on the celebration, as we all get fit for life.

Kid Trek Pavilion

Crawl and jump, shoot some hoops and kick a goal at the Kid Trek Pavilion. Test your skills at our kid size obstacle course inspired by Washington DC Landmarks.

Just For Fun Pavilion

When you just want to kick back and relax, go to the Just For Fun Pavilion where KidzQuest staff will entertain your group with arts, crafts, and games.  Fun activities will include juggling, balloon animal demonstrations, a magic workshop, a Yo-Yo demonstration, and face painting.
