2002 Food and Music Festival Scheduled for Columbus

WASHINGTON, DCThe Eleventh Annual TASTE OF
DC: A Salute to Our City will take place along historic Pennsylvania
Avenue Columbus Day weekend, October 12-14, 2002. This years
TASTE OF DC will stretch along two additional blocks of Pennsylvania
Avenue, from 7th St. to 14th Sts., NW, making room for several
exciting new features and dining options. While sampling the menus
of dozens of popular area restaurants, attendees can relax in
new general seating areas or shop for vacation options from 60
vendors at the Travel WorldShowcase. A new fine dining pavilion,
presented by the Downtown DC Business Improvement District, will
feature signature dishes flavors from some of the Districts
top chefs. Subtitled A Salute to Our City, the Eleventh
Annual TASTE OF DC will celebrate the community spirit and civic
pride manifested in the festival while highlighting the depth
and diversity of dining options in the metropolitan area. Free
live musical performances by local, national and international
headliners will complement an extensive lineup of family-friendly
activities. The TASTE OF DC: A Salute to Our City will take place
Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. For more
