ARTScreen Film Series presents “Jazz on a Summer's Day"

Join us for the screening of "Jazz on a Summer's Day," a concert film of the 1958 Newport Jazz Festival in Newport, Rhode Island — featuring performances by Jimmy Giuffre, Thelonious Monk, Sonny Stitt, Anita O'Day, Dinah Washington, Gerry Mulligan, Chuck Berry, Chico Hamilton and Louis Armstrong.

Free admission, refreshments, popcorn and candy! Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

ARTScreen presents four to five films a year focusing on "the arts" as subject matter or on a particular film genre. It is sponsored by the City of Fairfax Commission on the Arts and is open to the public.
