Author's Talk: American Aristocrats: A Family, a Fortune, and the Making of American Capitalism

Harry S. Stout, professor of American religious studies at Yale University, discusses and signs copies of his multi-generational biography of the Andersons of Kentucky and how this familys story represents America's experiment in republican capitalism and the economic American dream. The family patriarch, Richard Clough Anderson, was a Revolutionary War officer and original member of the Society of the Cincinnati in the State of Virginia. The talk will last about 45 minutes, followed by a book signing and refreshments. Books will be available for purchase at the event.
