Memorial Day Arlington National Cemetery Walking Tour

Take a guided walk through the cemetery to learn the design behind and stories contained within this hallowed ground.

Now - May 24, 2026. From: 01:00 PM to 03:30 PM

Arlington National Cemetery is the final resting place of over 400,000 American heroes. As one of the largest military cemeteries in the world, Arlington preserves and enshrines the history of the United States' past.

Join DC Design Tours for a special biannual cemetery walking tour to honor our fallen heroes this Memorial Day weekend. The tour will take place from 1:00-3:30 pm on Sunday, May 24.

Visit fascinating sites within the cemetery, including the Kennedy Gravesights, the tomb of Robert Todd Lincoln, and witness the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Experience a guided walk through the cemetery to learn the design behind and stories contained within this hallowed ground. Sights and stops include:

  • Kennedy Grave-sights

  • Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

  • Changing of the Guard Ceremony

  • USS Maine Mast Memorial

  • Space Shuttle Memorials

  • Arlington Mansion

  • Pentagon (from a distance)

  • President William Howard Taft Monument

  • Tomb of Robert Todd Lincoln

Our tour meets and concludes outside the Arlington National Cemetery Visitors Center at 1 Memorial Ave, Fort Myer, VA 22211, covering about two miles in about two and a half hours. Please visit www.dcdesigntours.com to learn more and sign up.  All active duty US military personnel and veterans are welcome free of charge, but please get in touch at 240-229-6795 or info@dcdesign.com to reserve your spot.
