Chaia is an unconventional taco shop serving insanely delicious tacos made entirely with vegetables. Yes, vegetables. But not just any vegetables. Only the freshest, local, (and whenever possible organic) vegetables inventively prepared from scratch, and combined with spices, house-made salsas, and other tasty toppings—all tucked inside a handmade, griddled corn tortilla.
Chaia means life. And taco means taco. At Chaia, they live for tacos. Which is why that’s pretty much all you’ll see on the menu. They’ve kept our menu small and simple for a reason. Because honestly, they all have enough choices to make in life already AND they want to do one thing really well. So, they offer just 5 vegetable taco creations at a time, a few outrageously delicious sides, a soup for when it’s cold, and drinks on tap—from kombucha to cocktails.
Chaia is where fine food and fast casual meet. They offer counter service without a mind-boggling cafeteria line to pick your way through. They’ve carefully created the tacos, you just pick how many and which vegetables strike your fancy. Of course, if you’re vegan and don’t want cheese, or love it super spicy, we can customize accordingly.
Founded by Bettina Stern and Suzanne Simon, Chaia is a female led, female run business that believes everything’s better in a taco and making the world a better place starts with the food we eat. But the thing they care about most is that their tacos taste damn delicious. Because then, all the rest is possible.
