A small 11-bedroom two-story building that sits on the edge of the C&O Canal. Most bedrooms have a view or balcony that overlooks the canal. The building was constructed in the 1830's by the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal for use as a storage room for equipment while the canal was being built. The building was shortly converted into a tavern and then a stable which housed the horses and mules that pulled cargo boats down the canal.
