Washington Printmakers Gallery - Washington Printmakers Gallery -- in upper Georgetown’s Book Hill arts area in Northwest Washington -- is a dynamic nonprofit cooperative of accomplished artists providing original contemporary fine art prints to DC residents and visitors since 1985. The Gallery provides a lively street-side location on Wisconsin Avenue, with nearby shopping, cafes, other art galleries, museums, and places of historic importance. Dupont Circle and Foggy Bottom are a walk or bus ride. Printmaking at WPG is a ‘big tent’ idea with members experimenting at the edges of traditional printmaking with photographic printing, 3-D printmakers, book arts, and interactions of printmaking methods with sculpture, painting and drawing. If you are in the area looking for things to do, arts and culture, the Gallery offers occasional demonstrations, teaching, lectures, and participation in local walking tours. Almost every day, throughout the day, a member artist sits in the Gallery, thus providing an opportunity to talk quietly and informally with current members about the art of printmaking. Get coffee next door and stop by to visit! New exhibits every month. For current events, hours, and exhibits, and opportunities for memberships, check the website: Each artist has a page showing current work that is updated on a regular basis.
