From neoclassical to brutality, come learn the history behind the brick and mortar through one of our design focused walking tours!
DC Design Tours conducts walking tours of six distinct neighborhoods in the Capital: the National Mall, Capitol Hill, Federal Triangle, Dupont Circle & Embassy Row, Georgetown, and Columbia Heights & Adams Morgan. Private customized tours are also available upon request.
DC Design Tours was founded in 2015 by former architectural designer and lover of all things brick and mortar, Carolyn Muraskin. Carolyn left her drafting desk and started touring so she could talk about buildings rather than draw them. Carolyn is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Architecture, and has lived in the Washington area since 2006. All DC Design Tours guides have a design background, and are intensely passionate about the architectural history of Washington.
