Coat & Winter Clothing Drive
Help DDC & AEF Keeps Students Warm This Winter!
Destination DC and the American Experience Foundation are dedicated to making sure local students have what they need to succeed at school, at work, and in their community. No student should have to leave the house this winter without warm clothes.
You can help by donating new or gently used and cleaned coats, hats, gloves, and scarves which will be distributed to Academy of Hospitality and Tourism students in need as well as their classmates and families.
Items can be dropped off at the DDC Offices (901 7th Street, NW, 4th Floor) or at Impact Collective MakeOffices (800 Maine Ave SW, Suite 200) during normal business hours from Nov. 1 – Dec. 6, 2019.
If your company would like to hold its own drive or you will be donating more than a dozen items, pick up is available in early December. Please contact Lisa Waldschmitt at lisa [at] americanexperiencefoundation.org for more information.
And as you clean out your closet in the new year, please keep in mind we will be collecting professional dress for Academy students at the beginning of 2020.
