Instagrammer @pootie_ting captured this sunrise shot of the Washington Monument in winter from the top of the @warnertheatre. DC has no shortage of spectacular rooftop vistas, including year-round fave POV at the @whoteldc downtown, plus plenty of neighborhood bars and restaurants. #MyDCcool

It doesn’t matter if its fall foliage, green grass or a fresh coat of snow like in this shot from Insatgrammer @stephanechong, the Lincoln Memorial is one of the most breathtaking (and photogenic) monuments in the city. #MyDCcool

The trees may not have bloomed quite yet in this shot from Instagrammer @jessica.shantell, but the rowhomes in Capitol Riverfrontcertainly add a pop of color to the early days of spring! #MyDCcool

The Washington Monument looks even more stunning when surrounded by a pink sky and gorgeous cherry blossoms. Instagrammer @jeffgoodman1 snapped this photo during peak bloom of the blossoms. #MyDCcool

Warmer temps in DC mean water sports on the Potomac River, rooftop bars and perhaps most importantly, triple scoops of ice cream. Next time you visit DC, make sure to get to @icecreamjubilee in Capitol Riverfront. Great views, amazing ice cream and the laid back Yards Park await! #MyDCcool

Nothing says summer like a game of baseball on the National Mall. Instagrammer @pdiddypics captured the essence of the season in this iconic shot. #MyDCcool

These perfectly-patriotic rowhomes in the Shaw neighborhood are just one of the things we love about one of the city’s most historic spots. We’re also partial to amazing restaurants like @convivialrestaurant@thallydc and Blagden Alley's @thedabneydc, plus all the mezcal at @espitadc! #MyDCcool

In case you missed it, DC Dining had a moment this year. The city rolled in the accolades, receiving its first Michelin Guide in the fall, being named restaurant city of the year by Bon Appétit in August and then hottest food city by Zagat in November. #MyDCcool

There were a few opportunities this fall to see the Super Moon and we were so excited to see so many #MyDCcool #supermoon pics! This one of the city skyline and a blood orange moon from Instagrammer @ile_explores was one of our absolute faves!

It’s no surprise that two of our favorite DC subjects (@sebastianlovesluna) took home the award for Best Costume during our Halloween Instameet in collaboration with @IGDC. Instagrammer @jamestyree snapped this photo of the pair at Old Stone House. #MyDCcool

It’s no secret we’re suckers for fall foliage. Throw in a sunrise view of the U.S. Capitol like in this gram from @506thcurrahee, and forget about it! #MyDCcool

It doesn’t get any more picture perfect at Christmastime than this shot of a family walking [hand-in-hand] in a Winter Wonderland. Instagrammer @dccitygirl captured this heartwarming moment in @citycenterdc. #MyDCcool
