Thousands of water plants, waterlilies, lotuses, water hyacinths and bamboo grow in ponds along the Anacostia River. Flowers bloom May - early fall. Open daily 7 am - 4 pm. Visitors center open 8 am - 4 pm daily (9 am - 4 pm Apr. - Sep.) except Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year's day. Free. Guided tours available.
