Join us as we discover sculptures by women, for women, and about women in Washington, DC. There are many talented female artists behind the statues around DC. Explore the legacies of Vinnie Ream who sculpted President Lincoln, Glenna Goodacre of the Vietnam Women's Memorial, and Nina Akamu of the National Japanese American Memorial. You will be shocked to find out just how few of the 100 statues in the Capitol Building represent women - spoiler alert, it's way less than 50 percent!
