Join Camille, local sommelier and wine educator, for an exploration through the art and science of wine!
Join Camille, a local sommelier and wine educator, for an engaging exploration of the art and science of wine! This event will guide guests through the winemaking journey, from vine to glass, teaching them how to evaluate wine like a pro. Participants will learn about fermentation, the impact of acids, tannins, and aging on flavor, and sample a curated selection of wines. Insights into vineyard practices and practical tips for shopping and savoring wine will also be shared. Additionally, a blind tasting competition will give three winners the chance to take home prizes.
The event will take place inside the Craft Lab at Because Science, located at 1759 Columbia Rd NW, Washington, DC, across from the Line Hotel in Adams Morgan—just look for the colorful squiggly rainbow mural! It’s a short 10-minute walk from the Woodley Park or Columbia Heights Metro stations. Nearby bus routes include the D72, D74, C51, and C53, and while street parking is limited, there’s a garage at 2421 18th St NW, about a block away. Please note this event is for ages 21+. If you need assistance or are running late, call the store at 202-248-1366.
