Coffee with Explorers

Coffee with an Explorer: Reyhaneh Maktoufi

Hear from a real National Geographic Explorer about their world-changing work over morning coffee.

Nov 24, 2026. From: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Start your morning in conversation with National Geographic Explorers – scientists, photographers, and researchers with stories from the field that captivate audiences of all ages.

Coffee with an Explorer is an intimate small-group experience where guests can hear firsthand stories from National Geographic Explorers whose work is shaping how we understand wildlife, science, culture and our changing planet.

Over coffee in Explorers Eatery, you’ll go beyond headlines and documentaries to hear personal stories from the field, ask questions and connect directly with the people behind the work.

National Geographic Explorer Reyhaneh “Rey” Maktoufi is a science communication specialist. Together, you'll explore how she aims to make scientific knowledge more accessible by humanizing important and often complex work.

Ticket includes complimentary coffee and tea.
