Marty Stuart And His Fabulous Superlatives

Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives bring a deep affection for country music’s roots to a sound that moves easily between honky-tonk, rockabilly, bluegrass and country-rock. Stuart, a former member of Johnny Cash’s touring band and a Country Music Hall of Fame inductee, formed the group in 2002; together they’ve explored gospel on Souls’ Chapel, California country-rock on Way Out West, and Byrds-inspired sounds on Altitude. The band’s spirited musicianship and vintage-minded style make room for both lively picking and the stories behind the music. Familiar songs such as “Hillbilly Rock” and “Tempted” add an inviting thread through Stuart’s wide-ranging repertoire.
