Silent Reading Party

It’s back and better than ever. Hotel AKA Alexandria and Old Town Books invite you to our fifth Silent Reading Party, a serene afternoon crafted for book lovers who appreciate quiet moments, curated ambiance, and a well-poured cocktail or mocktail.

Join us on Saturday, August 3rd, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Hotel AKA Alexandria's a.lounge+bar for two blissful hours of uninterrupted reading, accompanied by live piano music. Your ticket includes a signature cocktail or mocktail, coffee, and light bites—the perfect pairing for a peaceful afternoon with a good book.

We're also excited to partner with Relume, to offer a Mini Shelf Workshop during the event. Guests will have the chance to assemble their own miniature bookshelf and curate it with tiny books personalized with their favorite titles—a hands-on way to celebrate their love of reading and take home a keepsake from the day. You’ll have the option to add this experience when purchasing your Silent Reading Party ticket.

Old Town Books will be on-site with handpicked titles from their Summer Reading Guide, so whether you bring your own book or discover a new favorite, there’s something for every reader.
