Catch the WNBA’s Mystics live

The Entertainment and Sports Arena serves as the home to the Washington Mystics. With a 2018 WNBA Finals appearance under their belt, the Mystics remain one of the league’s most exciting teams to watch in person. The team is led by former league MVP Elena Delle Donne, who’s shooting skills are a sight to behold – as evidenced by being the WNBA’s all-time free throw percentage leader. The season usually runs from May to September. Find tickets for sale starting at $12.

Cheer on rising b-ball stars at a Capital City Go-Go game

While the Washington Wizards play their home games at the Capital One Arena in Chinatown, their affiliate team fills up the Entertainment and Sports Arena. Named after DC’s homegrown music genre, the Capital City Go-Go play in the southeast division of the G League, which serves as a development league for basketball players with dreams of playing in the NBA. Just like the syncopated beats and catchy rhythms Chuck Brown made famous, the team hopes to get fans out of their seats with excitement. Tickets start as low as $10. Games occur between November and March.
