Pianist and composer André Mehmari blends the traditions of his native Brazil with the improvisational spirit of jazz and the richness of classical music. Joined by bassist Edward Perez and percussionist Rogerio Boccato, Mehmari shares an original program inspired by the natural wonders of the Mata Atlântica (Atlantic Forest), his home for 25 years. This vibrant ecosystem continues to shape his artistic voice, influencing both his original compositions and his interpretations of works by Brazilian master by Tom Jobim.
