Atsuko Okatsuka

Atsuko Okatsuka is a Taiwanese-Japanese American stand-up comedian whose playful, offbeat storytelling turns family life and cultural identity into unexpected comic detours. Her style pairs absurd observations with a warm, personal point of view, and her spontaneous “Drop Challenge” became a viral sensation. Okatsuka’s HBO special The Intruder earned a Gracie Award for Best Comedy Special, and her more recent special Father brings her distinctive perspective to a new hour of stand-up. Onstage, the pleasure is in the sharp turns between the everyday and the wonderfully strange.
