Bassvictim

Bassvictim is a London electronic duo pairing singer Maria Manow’s expressive vocals with producer Ike Clateman’s restless, bass-heavy sound. Their music darts between dance-pop, club electronics and unexpected textures, balancing playful melodies with shadowy, pounding beats. The duo’s debut album, Forever, includes “It’s Me Maria” and “27a Pitfield St,” while earlier tracks such as “Air on a G String” and “Canary Wharf Drift” show their taste for twisting familiar musical ideas into something unruly and unexpected. The result is music made for movement, with sweet, off-kilter hooks that keep colliding with the low end.
