Bertha - Grateful Drag

BERTHA: Grateful Drag brings the Grateful Dead’s songbook to life through an all-drag band of queer and allied Nashville musicians, led by a trio of singers and backed by a full ensemble. Their spirited, harmony-rich take pairs jam-band musicianship with the color and theatricality of drag, giving beloved songs a fresh point of view. The band’s first live album, Slayin’ in the Band Vol. 1, features “Scarlet Begonias,” “Fire on the Mountain” and “Bertha.” Expect familiar melodies, vivid performance flair and plenty of room for the music to stretch.
