Better Off Dead

Better Off Dead brings the Grateful Dead’s expansive songbook to life through a Mid-Atlantic lineup devoted to the music’s spirit of exploration. For more than a decade, the band has celebrated the Dead with a mix of faithful interpretation and its own improvisational turns, drawing on nearly every song in the original group’s catalog. Expect room for beloved tunes such as “Eyes of the World,” “Brown-Eyed Women” and “Deal” to stretch into fresh musical conversations. The appeal lies in that balance of familiar melodies and open-ended jamming, with each performance taking its own shape.
