Blitzkid brings horror rock to punk’s fast, melodic core, turning B-movie shadows and macabre storytelling into songs built for a shout-along chorus. Formed in Bluefield, West Virginia, in 1997, the band became a defining name in horror punk, with a catalog that includes the albums Trace of a Stranger and Five Cellars Below. Tracks such as “Pretty in a Casket,” “She Dominates” and “The Midnite Mile” show the band’s knack for pairing dark imagery with punchy hooks. The appeal is the contrast: spooky tales delivered with the unruly, catchy energy of punk rock.
