Austin singer-songwriter Bob Schneider draws on rock, folk, funk, country and more, threading quick shifts in style through a songwriter’s knack for playful, candid storytelling. Before building a solo career, he fronted the bands The Ugly Americans and The Scabs; his major-label debut, Lonelyland, introduced a wider audience to songs such as “Big Blue Sea,” while “40 Dogs (Like Romeo and Juliet)” became one of his best-known tracks. A multiple Austin Music Award winner, Schneider brings a broad musical palette to the stage, where a tender ballad can sit comfortably beside a groove-driven, offbeat rocker.
