The Bouncing Souls

Formed in New Brunswick, New Jersey, in 1989, The Bouncing Souls built their sound on fast, melodic punk and songs that turn personal feeling into a communal shout. Their independent roots remain part of the story: the band launched Chunksaah Records before reaching a wider audience with albums including Hopeless Romantic and How I Spent My Summer Vacation. Tracks such as “True Believers,” “Manthem” and “Gone” capture their knack for pairing brisk guitars with warm, direct lyrics. The result is punk that feels both scrappy and welcoming, with choruses made to be sung together.
