In Conversation with Jennifer Welch

Jennifer Welch brings her sharp, outspoken voice to Not Today, Fascists, a live conversation about religion, politics and the forces shaping American life. Best known as co-host of the comedy podcast “I’ve Had It” with Angie “Pumps” Sullivan, Welch first reached reality-TV audiences on Bravo’s Sweet Home Oklahoma, which followed her Oklahoma City interior-design business. Drawing on her perspective as a progressive atheist from a Bible Belt state, she takes on Christian nationalism, the political use of religion and the prosperity gospel’s relationship to economic inequality. The result pairs big, contentious ideas with the candid, irreverent sensibility that has made Welch’s podcast a distinctive forum for airing grievances.
