Visionary Evenings at the Arts Club of Washington
The Arts Club of Washington is honored to present an evening with Patricia Michaels of Taos Pueblo. Patricia is an acclaimed fashion designer who gained national fame as a contestant on Season 11 of Project Runway; she won First Runner-Up and was invited to participate in Project Runway All Stars.
Club member Dana Tai Soon Burgess interviews Patricia about her Native American inspired haute couture fashion, which has been featured at the New York Fashion Week, Santa Fe Indian Market, Santa Fe Opera, and museums and fashion shows around the world. Recently, Patricia created a red carpet design for Tantoo Cardinal, star of Martin Scorsese’s film, “Killers of the Flower Moon.” Tantoo wore Patricia’s dress at the Cannes Film Festival for the movie premiere.
