Crystal Methyd brings avant-garde drag artistry together with the electronic sound of The Crystal Method, a pioneering big-beat act founded by Scott Kirkland and Ken Jordan. Methyd, a finalist on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 12, is known for inventive fashion and an offbeat, highly individual stage persona. The Crystal Method broke through with the platinum-selling album Vegas, followed by Tweekend and Legion of Boom; its music has also featured in film, television and video-game soundtracks. The pairing draws on two distinct kinds of spectacle: playful, expressive drag and the propulsive, synth-driven energy of electronic dance music.
