Forbidden is a Bay Area thrash-metal band formed in 1985, known for intricate guitar work, breakneck rhythms and a sharp-edged sound. Their debut, Forbidden Evil, helped establish their place in the scene, while Twisted Into Form expanded their technical approach with songs such as “Infinite” and “Out of Body (Out of Mind).” After releasing Omega Wave in 2010, the band reunited with a new lineup in 2023, bringing vocalist Norman Skinner into the fold. Forbidden’s music pairs tightly wound musicianship with the raw, driving force of classic thrash.
