History Tour
Since its founding in 1916, The Arts Club of Washington has called the National Registered Historic Landmark address of 2017 I (eye) Street, N.W. “home.” Join us on a guided tour of the historic clubhouse to learn more about The Arts Club, its activities, and its distinguished members. We also will discuss some of the fabled residents of the two mansions the organization now occupies, including the former homes of President James Monroe and his First Lady Elizabeth, and Civil War General Robert MacFeely.
The Friday docent-led tours are followed by the Arts Club’s free, Friday Noon Concert series, featuring world-class musicians on our historic stage. If you'd like to stay for the concert, please RSVP separately via the Arts Club’s web site.
Tour attendance is limited to 12; an RSVP is required to ensure your tour registration. Walk-in participants will be accommodated when possible. Tour is not ADA accessible.
