Hawthorne Heights

Hawthorne Heights helped define 2000s emo with a sound that pairs soaring, melodic choruses with post-hardcore intensity. The Dayton, Ohio, band broke through with its 2004 debut, The Silence in Black and White, featuring the enduring singalong “Ohio Is for Lovers.” Its follow-up, If Only You Were Lonely, brought another fan favorite, “Saying Sorry,” and reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200. Their songs balance raw emotion and anthemic hooks, giving longtime listeners plenty to revisit and newcomers a vivid introduction to a defining era of emo.
