Jerrod Carmichael

Jerrod Carmichael is a stand-up comedian, actor and writer whose comedy pairs dry, understated delivery with candid explorations of family, identity and the stories people keep to themselves. He created and starred in the NBC sitcom The Carmichael Show, bringing sharp social questions into the rhythm of a family comedy. His special Rothaniel earned an Emmy for outstanding writing for a variety special, while Love at the Store and 8 showcase earlier chapters of his stand-up. Carmichael’s measured style leaves room for a joke to turn unexpectedly personal, making his performances as thoughtful as they are funny.
