Jerry's Middle Finger

Jerry’s Middle Finger is a six-piece ensemble devoted to the music Jerry Garcia made beyond the Grateful Dead, carrying forward the Jerry Garcia Band’s adventurous, roots-rich songbook. The group moves among blues, reggae, Motown, gospel and psychedelic rock, drawing on favorites such as “Deal” and “Cats Under the Stars” alongside deeper cuts from Garcia’s collaborations with Merl Saunders and the band Legion of Mary. With lead guitar, keyboards, bass, drums and layered vocals, the musicians honor the originals while leaving room for improvisation and shifting arrangements—so familiar songs can unfold with a fresh groove and a communal, jam-band spirit.
