John K's Mystery Band

John K’s Mystery Band brings guitarist and singer John Kadlecik into the improvisational, ever-changing world of jam-rock. A co-founder of Dark Star Orchestra, where he helped recreate classic Grateful Dead performances, Kadlecik later joined Furthur alongside Grateful Dead members Bob Weir and Phil Lesh. His musical orbit also includes the Jerry Garcia Band repertoire, from songs like “The Harder They Come” and “Dear Prudence” to the long-form explorations that leave room for a familiar tune to take an unexpected turn. The appeal is in that balance of deep roots and open-ended playing: recognizable songs, played with room to roam.
