John Violinist

John Violinist brings contemporary R&B, soul, hip-hop and pop into expressive violin performances, using the instrument’s melodic warmth to recast familiar sounds. His album Rise includes violin interpretations of “So Into You,” “Unthinkable,” “Cupid” and “Can We Talk,” placing beloved R&B songs in a fresh instrumental setting. He began playing violin at age five and has performed at the NAACP Gala and the BET Soul Train Music Awards. The appeal lies in hearing recognizable songs take on a new voice, with the violin carrying both their hooks and their feeling.
