Maz Jobrani

Iranian-American comedian Maz Jobrani turns the quirks of family life, politics and cultural identity into nimble, self-aware stand-up. A founding member of the Axis of Evil Comedy Tour, he helped bring Middle Eastern American voices to a wider U.S. audience; his solo specials include the Netflix release Immigrant, filmed at the Kennedy Center, and The Birds & The Bees, which takes on parenting and the awkward realities of growing up. Jobrani’s comedy draws on his own experience across cultures, finding humor in the assumptions people make—and the everyday moments that connect them.
