Michigan State Spartans at Maryland Terrapins Basketball
Dec 09, 2026. Starting: 1:00 PM
Michigan State and Maryland bring two championship-winning programs together in a Big Ten men’s basketball matchup. The Spartans won the NCAA title in 2000 and have reached the Final Four repeatedly under longtime coach Tom Izzo, while Maryland claimed its first national championship in 2002. Their meeting draws on decades of high-stakes college basketball, with each side carrying a proud tournament legacy into conference play. For fans, the appeal is the contrast and history on the court: two storied programs measuring themselves against a familiar league rival.
