Najee

Grammy-nominated saxophonist and flautist Najee brings a polished, soulful voice to contemporary jazz, weaving smooth saxophone lines and expressive flute with the pulse of R&B. His 1986 debut, Najee’s Theme, earned a Grammy nomination, while later albums Tokyo Blue and Just an Illusion helped establish his place in the genre. Over a career spanning decades, he has also collaborated with artists including Prince, Quincy Jones and Herbie Hancock. The appeal lies in the balance: fluid, melodic playing rooted in jazz, with grooves that invite listeners to settle in and move with the music.
